Zephyr is everything you might want from a Catahoula! Zephyr is smart enough for off-leash field work, athletic enough for agility, loyal enough to be your best friend, and cuddly enough for a night on the couch. He does great with routine and clear rules. When asked, he will wait by doors before going outside and politely wait to have his dinner. He can be directed to his crate or the back door, and he will learn anything else you want to teach him. He understands when it's time to wake up, eat, go to his crate when his parents go to work, and when to head up stairs for bed. He's a house-trained boy who's easy to train, wants to please, and will happily engage in training for some tasty treat rewards. He's great on a leash and has enjoyed hikes and running. He will lean on new people to let them know they're friends. Zephyr will do best in a home with a yard to explore and relax in and a well- matched dog friend. He needs regular exercise and stimulation to help manage his Catahoula energy so should do best in a home free of cats and kids. This healthy boy is really a great companion, and you'll love feeling him try to curl up in your lap at the end of a fun day.
